Built by a practising anaesthetist

Two tools for anaesthetists.

One keeps your own logbook on your own device, with no account and no patient identifiers. The other gives an obstetric anaesthesia department its live activity, its follow-ups and the audited record behind every RCoA figure.

Clerked logbook
app.clerked.uk
In use

The anaesthetic logbook that works offline. Your cases, on your phone, belonging to you.

  • Works with no signal. No account to create, no cloud to sync, nothing to sign in to.
  • No patient can be identified. There is no field for a name, a hospital number or a date of birth.
  • An RCoA summary ready for ARCP, plus full exports to spreadsheet and Word whenever you want them.
  • Installs to your home screen like an app, and imports from the logbook you are leaving behind.
Tuohy
tuohy.clerked.uk
Prototype

The obstetric anaesthesia activity database. One screen for who is on the labour ward and what has been done for her.

  • Who has a live epidural, who needs following up, and who is high risk — on one handover board.
  • Two taps from the worklist to a filled form. Designed for one hand on a phone at 3am.
  • Every RCoA figure with its denominator spelled out, and a tamper-evident audit trail behind it.
  • Demographics stay with the hospital. Read live from the Trust PAS; no address or phone number anywhere.

Which one do I want?

They do not overlap. Clerked is yours; Tuohy belongs to a department. The difference that matters most is the last row.

A comparison of Clerked and Tuohy
Property Clerked Tuohy
Who it is for One anaesthetist, any speciality An obstetric anaesthesia department
Where the data lives On your own device, and nowhere else On the Trust's own approved server
Account needed None A Trust account, with a clinical role
Patient identifiers None — there is no field for them Name, hospital number and NHS number, read live from the PAS
What it is for Your logbook, your ARCP, your CPD Handover, follow-up and departmental governance
Status Free, and in use today A prototype. Not yet approved for real patient data

Note. Neither tool is a replacement for your Trust's electronic patient record. Clerked is a personal logbook; Tuohy is a departmental activity database that is designed to read from an EPR, not to be one.

Built on the ward, not commissioned

Both of these are written by a practising anaesthetist, in response to the same irritation: the record of what we actually did is the part of the job that technology has helped with least. Clerked came first and is free. Tuohy is newer, bigger, and still a prototype — it is being shown to consultant colleagues before it goes anywhere near a Trust IT department.

If something is wrong, missing, or would not survive a night shift, that is worth telling me. They go to different places.
